Overview[]
During Winter, Snow can be collected outside of the shelter front door. It has no barter value and thus cannot be traded.
Using Snow[]
- During Winter, Snow, Filters, and Fuel can be used at the Stove to craft Clean Water. Clean Water can then be used for tasks such as cooking or growing Vegetables.
- Strangely, the snow collected in winter cannot be melted after winter ends, and will stay in the player's inventory until endgame, as the option to melt snow disappears.

- The warm weather method of obtaining Clean Water from a Rainwater Collector does not work during Winter, which makes melting Snow the only viable option aside from luck scavenging and/or trading.
