This War of Mine Wiki

I'm very hungry. Could you help me?

–Grisha

Overview[]

Grisha is a homeless man staying inside a house at the Decrepit Squat. He is encountered sitting next to a makeshift bonfire. When encountered he stands up, approaches the player, and begs for food since he is too weak to look himself.

If Grisha is fed with Raw Food, Canned Food, or Vegetables, he will show the player a hidden spot containing Jewelry and Pure Alcohol in return. Then he will proceed to look for loot like a standard looter, occasionally thanking the playable character for their generosity. Grisha will be present on every subsequent visit, wandering around the place per usual.

If he does not obtain food from the player during the initial meeting or the next day, then he will be found dead during a later visit- apparently of starvation.

Notes[]

  • Grisha is not a typical trader since he does not trade in the conventional method (demands items from player with nothing to exchange), but the only deal he offers has a high potential value. Technically, Grisha is also currently the only trader that offers Jewelry, albeit indirectly.
  • As long as Grisha is fed with any unit of food, he will reveal the loot stash. He will not accept other items, claiming they are not in his interests
  • Alternatively, not giving him food and discovering that he has died will induce a moral penalty.
  • If the player does not interact with him right after he asks for food, then he will say additional phrases.

Affected mood[]

If Anton kills Grisha, then Pavle, Cveta and Zlata will say sorrowful things in their character notes, but no morale penalties would be induced.

Trivia[]

  • Grisha's model is re-used as a prostitute's client at the Brothel.
  • It can be inferred from notes and a freshly created painting hanging on a wall that Grisha may be a painter that had fallen from grace during the war and is one of the last survivors in his group.
