The Airport is a scavenging location added in the Anniversary Edition.
Overview[]
The airport is a huge area, consisting of a several-story terminal building, a damaged airplane and a small outpost, converted out of the air-traffic control tower. A civilian can be found in the terminal area, while the outpost is populated by two Graznavia military. Killing the civilian on this map results in moral penalties, however, the military can be killed without penalty.
Three rubble piles can be found in the terminal and many paths are blocked by piles in general, so a shovel might be very useful. The outpost has a locked cabinet.
There are ten pieces of furniture that can be chopped for wood and fuel: four in the terminal, one in the plane and five in the outpost.
Like the soldiers in the Military Outpost, the soldiers here will offer a chance to leave if caught trespassing, but will shoot if the warning is ignored. A second exit can be found the right of the outpost.
Other than some flavor text regarding his personal backstory, the civilian does not interfere with the player and can be safely ignored.
There is also a chance to get time-trapped, caused by a lack of a shovel and jumping down the broken staircase.

Father's Promise DLC[]
In Father's Promise DLC this is a much smaller area, and the player starts to the right of soldier's outpost building, at the rightmost part of the map. There is no terminal area, and the leftmost area the player can scavenge is the airplane aisle. The outpost still has the locked cabinet.
